The client came to Coleman & Partners with several objectives:
1.) To provide a prestigious setting at the entrance to downtown for the Law Firm.
2.) To maintain a relatively low construction cost.
3.) To express the firm's respect and appreciation for the LSU Campus from which they graduated.
The resulting building which is located on Government Street as one enters downtown Baton Rouge is a two story office "villa" designed in the Northern Italian Renaissance style that is the prevalent architecture of LSU. To maintain reasonable costs, the building is constructed of simple wood framing. Simple, but natural materials are used both on the exterior as well as interior spaces.
