Professional Experience:
Robert M. Coleman, III, has been a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and received his Bachelor of Architecture with Highest Honors from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1974. Before returning to Baton Rouge, Mr. Coleman worked briefly with the prestigious Atlanta architectural firm of Cooper Carry & Associates.
Throughout his 30-plus years of practicing architecture, Mr. Coleman has built a reputation for managing large architectural projects with diverse ownership, design, and engineering consultant teams. Mr. Coleman has been partner-in-charge of projects as dissimilar as the $125,000,000 Jimmy Swaggart
Bible College, the $45,000,000 Catfish Town Renovations, the Belle of Baton
Rouge Docking Facility, and the $60,000,000 renovations to the historic Maison Blanche Building in downtown New Orleans, Louisiana, which includes a 452-room, Ritz-Carlton
Hotel. Mr. Coleman has also been very active in the Caribbean hospitality
industry, managing the design and construction of the 413 key Aruba Marriott
Resort and Stellaris Casino, the 311 key Aruba Ocean Club, the 450 guest unit
Aruba Surf Club, and the MVCI Sales Center on St. Thomas. Current Caribbean
projects in Design and Construction are the Renaissance Resort , Curacao, the
Aruba Wyndham Timeshares, the Aruba Ritz Carlton and Ritz Carlton Club, the St.
Kitts Marriott Timeshare Conversion, and the MVCI Sales Center, St. Kitts.
Mr. Coleman has developed a reputation of being able to manage and focus professionals of many disciplines to keep large, complex projects on track. Design concerns, budget considerations, and scheduling are all balanced to produce architecture in which all stakeholders, including Owners, developers, building users, and building design consultants, consider successful.
