Renovations to Catfishtown
Baton Rouge, Louisiana

60,000 square feet of meeting and entertainment space

The Atrium at Catfish Town is being created as an entertainment and specialty retail mall adjacent to Argosy Gaming Company's "Belle of Baton Rouge" riverboat casino. Opened in April of 1996, the 50,000 sq. ft. glass atrium connects six existing buildings, (some on the National Historic Register,) containing restaurants, clubs, and specialty retail. The theme of the Atrium Courtyard, as developed by Coleman & Partners, is a celebration of "Louisiana Festivals." Large festival icons designed and constructed by Barth Brothers of New Orleans Mardi Gras fame have been hung in the space to celebrate the many Louisiana Festivals--from Mardi Gras to the Jazz & Heritage Festival in New Orleans and the many food and cultural festivals held throughout the state. These festivals will be celebrated weekly with performances in the Louisiana Festival Plaza.
